Softners
Softeners are used on textile substrates in final treatment to enhance feel and drape, thereby improving aesthetic value of textiles. Cationic softeners are used on a wide variety of fabrics, yarns and processes. Quest provides a wide range of products with high degree of softness and superior absorbency.
Cationics
Cationic softeners have the best softness and are reasonably durable to laundering. They can be applied by exhaustion to all fibres from a high liquor to goods ratio bath and they provide a hydrophobic surface and poor rewetting properties, because their hydrophobic groups are oriented away from the fibre surface.
Non-Ionics
Nonionic softeners do not carry any electrical charge and therefore do not possess any distinctive substantivity. Thus nonionic softeners are perfect for finishing optically brightened high-white articles.
Reactives
Wash fast softner for synthetics, cellulosics and their blends. Exhibits dry and woolly feel. Improves dimensional stability. Stable to hard water and is cost effective.
Amphoterics
Imparts a very soft handle with fullness. Suitable for cellulosics and synthetics. Imparts non-yellowing and hydrophillic character to cotton and cotton rich blends. Suitable for knits and terry towels.
Polyurethane
Exhibits excellent surface coupled with bounce. Suitable for "Peach" effect. Suitable as a stand alone finish and is durable to laundering without adverse effect on fastness, retaining original shade.
Resins
Excellent anti-crease agents for easy care finish on textiles. Minimal effect on strength loss, with optimal DP rating. Fast to laundering and dry cleaning.
Speciality Silicones and Block Polymers
Impart unique, soft and smooth handle with extraordinary bounce. Ultimate stand alone finish for polyester.
Hydrophillic Silicones
While silicones are inherently hydrophobic, they can be modified to contain hydrophilic groups. Hydrophilic silicones and siloxanes are widely used as surfactants and emulsifiers.
Anti Ozonate
Offers high protection against Ozone fading coupled with good anti-static property. Imparts soft, non-greasy handle, and is resistant to laundering. It is also shear stable and hard water stable.
Yarn Lubricant
Offers excellent improvement in sewability. Optimal coefficient of friction on any count of cotton yarn. Imparts abrasion resistance and heat protection, and increases productivity. Imparts softness and retains hydrophilicity.
Polyethylene Emulsions
Improves tear strength and abrasion resistance of cellulosics. Imparts smooth and lubricated feel with improved sewability. Highly suitable for resin finish baths, and is resistant to thermal yellowing.
